NEDERVELT, Leonard Raymond, Jr.

Leonard Raymond Nedervelt, Jr., 74, an 18 year Stockton resident and former 20+ years Tracy resident passed August 23, 2017. Leonard was a native of Kalamazoo, MI and after graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Army. Leonard served his country proudly and with distinction for 24 years reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. After retiring from the military he went on to work for the federal government as a United States Postal Carrier for 27 years. Though his hobbies and interest were diverse and many, he was never without time for his loving wife of 40 years, Patty who passed in 2013 and his son Jimmy.

He is survived by his son, James "Jimmy" Alvord and his wife Evonne of Winston, OR. A Graveside service with military honors will be observed Friday, December 8, 2017, 11:30 AM at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Rd., Tracy. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., Tracy is in care of all arrangements. Rest in Peace Soldier, job well done!
