HAYWOOD, Arline L. (Hankinson)

Arline L Hankinson 76, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on September 30, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 23, 1943 to Alonzo A. and Nellie E. Haywood. In 1947, the family, including her twin brother Arthur, settled in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she received her early education. After graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School, Arline went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Western Michigan University. In 1972, she received a Master of Science in Education from Queens College of The City of New York. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 1978. She spent over 40 years in the Speech Pathology industry primarily focusing on autistic children.

In 1967, she married Harold O. Hankinson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, Alonzo A. Haywood, and most recently, twin brother Arthur A. Haywood who passed away on August 9, 2019, and mother Nellie E. Haywood who passed away on September 23, 2019. Arline is survived by her sister-in-law, Gina G. Haywood of Weeki Wachee, FL.

Per the family's instructions, there will be no services. Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Florida has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
