HAFER, Sharon A. Passed away April 15, 2012 at the age of 68. Sharon was born May 13, 1943 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Kadar) Salvaggio. She was married to Stan Hafer, who preceded her in death in 2008. Sharon was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and knew He was and is the only way! She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to many. She had such a kind heart and was such a caring, supportive and sweet person. She loved her grandchildren dearly and they brought her so much joy. Sharon graduated from Loy Norrix in 1961. She was a beautician for over 15 years, just like her own mother. She then worked at Summit Polymers for 26 years and retired in 2008. She also worked at Wings Stadium for the last 27 years. She really enjoyed all of the people, events and games over the years. Surviving Sharon are her daughter, Lisa and her husband Larry Willems; 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel; a brother, Robert Salvaggio; and step-mother, Shirley Salvaggio. Per Sharon's wishes cremation has taken place. There will not be services but please direct any memorials in Sharon's name to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
