Lucy C. Cristy Passed away March 2, 2014 in Allyn with her husband of 30 years, Tom Lynch, holding her hand. She had bravely fought cancer. Lucy was born Sept. 4, 1943 and grew up in Kalamazoo, MI. She received her M.S.W. at the U. of W. after her B.A. at Colorado College. She served as a DSHS child welfare worker and City of Seattle probation counselor. She was then hired as the first female Federal Probation Officer in the Western District of Washington. She served there 28 years doing work she loved, helping others, and retired as a Sr. Officer in 2000. Lucy enjoyed being step-mother to Tom's four children, Thomas J. Lynch, Virginia Duquette, Stefan Lynch and Rose Welling and being grandmother to their children. Lucy and Tom enjoyed travel, mostly in Central America and wintered in Port Aransas, TX. Lucy was a volunteer at the Purdy Prison Pet Partnership. A private celebration is planned. Remembrances may be made to the
