Passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 in Boise, Idaho. LeRoy was born April 8, 1943 in Kalamazoo, son of Thorwald D. and Edith M. (Holroyd) Butler. LeRoy served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1971, and he did two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jay C. Butler. Surviving are his wife, Lisa (Eisman) Butler of Tomball, TX; his children, Eric (Kathy) Butler of Grandville, LeRoy M. (Diane) Butler of Portage, Micheline (David) Doorlag of Parchment, Samantha (William) Budwit of Fort Huachuca, AZ, Joshua Butler of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Adam and Andrya Doorlag, Courtney and Jessica Hipskind, Jordan Butler and Baby Budwit. He is survived by two brothers and one sister, Duane (Faye) Butler of Plainwell, Patrick (Nancy) Butler and Susan (James) Strate of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Carole Butler of Somerville, NJ; and a step-father, Russell Pipher of Kalamazoo; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
