Robert Webster

LT Robert Allan Webster, USN (Ret.), 72, passed away into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on August 18, 2015. Born in Mt. Pleasant, MI, he was the son of the late Cecil and Mary Webster. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, was stationed in Rhode Island where he met his wife and they then traveled to California, Tennessee, Japan, Nova Scotia, Canada and settled in Virginia. His hobbies included pool — he was known as a pool shark. He also enjoyed ping pong and Bridge. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 wonderful years, Peggy "Mother" Webster; three daughters, Kelli Webster, Beth Hagood, and Erin Webster; grandchildren, Ashley Hagood, Austin Hagood and wife Taylor; great grandchild, Keegan Outland; three sisters, Barbara Allen and husband Ron, Martha Perry, and Janet Hannon and husband Jeff; two brothers, Rick Webster and wife Barbara, and John Webster and wife Susan; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A prayer service will be held on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
