Ruth I. Buiringe Learn

Ruth I. Learn, age 70, of Worthington, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2013 at the Laurels of Norworth after her brave battle with pancreatic cancer. As a Retiree of OSU Medical Center, she dedicated 15 years of her good work. Ruth dedicated the end of her life to furthering cancer research for the hope of future Cancer survivors. Preceded in death by her mother and father Minnie and Ralph Buiringe. Survived by daughter, Julie Ann Learn; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Jessica, Jennifer; and by son, Michael Learn; grandchildren, Bailey, Sydney, and Eli; Her sister Anna Bronson (George); niece, Suzanne Bronson; and many cousins and their families. Many thanks to friends Jacquelyn Learn, Bob VanCamp, Char and Richard, Bev, Janice and John, Gayle, Ginny, Mike and Bonnie, the Crawford family, Grace Brethren Church, and many other dear friends. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held 7 p.m. Friday, August 16 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High Street, Worthington, OH with Father Philip College officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
